A delectable winter warmer which combines smooth creamy texture of hot butter with the appetising sweetness of apple pie
60mls Apple Pie Shine
2 dash of orange bitters
7-10ml sugar syrup
Heaped bar spoon of salted butter
Garnish : flamed orange twist
Heat all ingredients until warm and butter melted.
Flame orange twist and discard
Serve in coffee cup
A tart and delicious modern twist on a whiskey sour
45ml Melbourne Moonshine
20ml Yellow Chartreuse
2 dash of peychauds bitters
3 barspoons spiced rhubarb jam
20ml lemon
eggwhite
Dry shake all ingredients
Add ice and shake again
Double strain into a double old fashioned glass
Garnish with dehydrated lemon wheel
A rich, aromatic style of cocktail for people who enjoy serious liquor. Not one for the faint hearted but perfect for the seasoned drinker, it’s excellent as a nightcap or to start off an evening to remember.
50ml Melbourne Moonshine
7.5ml Orange liqueur
7.5ml Pastis
7.5ml Sugar syrup
1-3 dashes of Angostura aromatic bitters
Stir ingredients in a cocktail tin filled with ice, and then fine strain into a pre chilled short glass filled with ice. Garnish with the peel of orange.
One for the Martini lovers, this is a rich, aromatic cocktail that accentuates the characteristics of our ‘shine. Enjoy in the afternoon, evening, or anytime you want to look a little fancy (in a Southern way, of course).
50ml Melbourne Moonshine
25ml DOM Benedictine
1-2 dashes Angostura aromatic bitters
Stir over ice in a cocktail shaker and fine strain into a pre chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with the zest of either lemon or orange.
A new twist on the classic Stonefence, Jersey Lightning makes your cider a bit harder for serious refreshment on a warm day. This will make you forget how hot Australian summers can be (you can trust a Southern drink to cool you down, that’s for sure).

30ml Melbourne Moonshine
A shot of Moonshine to accompany your favourite cider, either drunk on the side, or dropped into the mix.
Like a Gin Fizz without the gin, or an old fashioned on Southern steroids, this is a drink that adds a little bit of a garden party elegance to any occasion. If any of our cocktails could stand a little umbrella, this is the one – because it’s best imbibed in the searing sunshine, of course.
50ml Melbourne Moonshine
10ml Lemon juice
10ml Lime juice
20ml Sugar syrup
7.5ml Ginger juice
1 dash (4-6 drops) Orange bitters
15ml Egg white
Dash of soda water
Add all ingredients (minus soda) to a cocktail shaker and shake first without ice to bind the egg white with the other ingredients. Then shake with ice. Fine strain into a pre chilled highball glass (without ice). Top with soda, and garnish with grated nutmeg on top.
A pretty name for a pretty drink that’s guaranteed to please even the fussiest drinker. It’s a citrus and floral forward cocktail that is both delicate and light, making it ideal for all occasions – especially parties.
45ml Melbourne Moonshine
10ml Lemon juice
10ml Lime juice
20ml Creme de Yvette
5ml Sugar syrup
15ml Egg white
1 drop Orange bitters
Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker, fill with ice, and shake short and hard. Fine strain into a pre chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with lemon thyme.
A Moonshine take on the Bullshot cocktail – the superior cousin of the Bloddy Mary. The Bullshot was made famous in many Hollywood films, with the likes of Marlon Brando, Rodney Dangerfield, and Malcolm McDowell sipping on this bad boy. Perfect for breakfast or anytime you feel like seeming like Brando, Dangerfield or McDowell.
50ml Melbourne Moonshine
90ml Beef bouillon
10ml Lemon juice
10ml Worchestershire
20ml Tomato juice
2 dashes Tabasco
Pinch of pepper
Add all ingredients to a pre chilled highball glass filled with ice, and give a brief stir to mix in. Garnish with olives, cucumbers and your own pickled vegetables.
